The Crown Steam GLT-40-NAT Tilting Kettle is a self-contained, natural gas fired, fully insulated steam jacketed kettle. Certified by the National Board, AGA, CGA, and NSF, the kettle can operate for up to 50 PSI. Its double wall interior forms a steam jacket around the lower 2/3 of the kettle. The jacket enclosure on this kettle contains factory sealed, distilled water. This 40 gallon capacity kettle is a stainless stell type 316 model meant for high acid content cooking. It has a fully insulated interior and comes with standard controls that includes a direct immersion thermostat that allows operation at temperatures between the range of 165-degree Fahrenheit to 275-degree Fahrenheit at 50 psi.
GLT-40 has a bottom with a hemispherical design which allows superior heat circulation. For operational convenience, the front of the kettle is fitted with a recessed control panel. Other standard features include a water sight glass, pressure gauge, cooking light, and electronic ignition with ignition indicator light. The standard 3 piece split faucet bracket allows much easier operation while the lower water shut off is fitted with an indicator light for safety purposes. There are more features for better operational safety that include a pressure relieve valve, pressure switch and a 100% safety gas shut off valve.
The console on the kettle is drip proof, stainless steel clad and is supported on all welded 1-5/8" dia. stainless steel legs that have flanged feet which secure the kettle to the floor. Its unique design features a tilt mechanism that allows it to be tilted past a 90-degree angle for users to completely empty it. It pivots on trunnions that are connected to the tilt mechanism and control consoles. Crown Steam GLT-40 Tilting Kettle requires a power source of 208-240V to function effectively.
